Reportage France3 Rhône Alpes in Echirolles, during FITA festival, november 2010 :
Founded in 2001 by Jack Souvant and Isabelle Rivoal, Bonheur Intérieur Brut is a collective of artists who question art in public space through different productions and who today turn their researches towards the borders of theatre and documentary.
Ticket is a singular experience inspired by clandestine immigration. Immersive theatre, physical and political play that will make you feel what men and women are going through when they try to escape their misery and reach a dreamt "western Eldorado".
Get your ticket and follow "King Phone", your facilitator and become one of those clandestine immigrants on the road to a better life...
Ticket erases the frontiers between spectator and actor, and offers another angle of vision on a contemporary tragedy, by confronting you to the physical experience of a travelling into darkness, of fear and hope...
It's emergency theatre and a salutary invitation to debate a tragedy that concerns all of us.
NB: Collectif Bonheur Interieur Brut also has in repertoire a small and poetic street performance called "Anywhere out of the world".
The approach and the universe are simple and direct here, but without any easiness. You think of those who want to reach the other side and live the unspeakable... differently than when reading your newspapers. Afterwards, impossible to think of anything else. And even the word "quota" will make us feel ashamed. L'Humanité
Jack Souvant, who directed "Ticket" wishes to go beyond the "I think about it but then forget about it": going further than just the words, words counting the deads in or under a truck in transit to UK... Mission accomplished. We will never quite come back from that "still journey"... What now? Rue du théâtre
If you want to live a strong theatrical and human experience, "Ticket" is made for you. Avignews
Even though that journey has nothing to do with a nice cruise, it's important to take that "Ticket" to horror... Nothing to see, nor to hear: simply something to live. Stradda
What if you were born in China in a deserted village, in Cambodia under Pol Pot, in Ghana or Mali. What if someday, you couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave, to become one of those "candidates to clandestine immigration". Collectif Bonheur Interieur Brut offers that journey: to be, for a short while, inside the skin of a clandestine immigrant. Between artistic and human experience, here is a new, intense form that will make you more than a spectator. Theatreonline
