Anywhere out of the world
Founded in 2001 by Jack Souvant and Isabelle Rivoal, Bonheur Intérieur Brut (B.I.B) is a collective of artists who question art in public space through different productions and who today turn their researches towards the borders of theatre and documentary.
Anywhere out of the world was created in 2003 and has toured everywhere in Europe and beyond since then.
Inspired by Marc Chagall's paintings and more particularly by the ones from his exile period, collectif B.I.B imagined 3 strange, fragile and moving characters with old dusty costumes, wandering in a city and looking for a place to stay for a while.
She climbs up a tree, scales a fish and chats with it ; He wears a tiny house on his back and dances on his stilts ; a third man plays old east europeans tunes on his accordion to accompany a tiny party and sweet moment of respite...
They dance, drink and share a simple moment of joy with the people around them... All of a sudden, blue invades the space, and they have to run away, one more time, anywhere, out of the world...
Anywhere out of the world is a small and light street theatre act, a poetic and poignant bubble that can be performed anywhere, and goes across the city like a question mark...
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- Duration: 30 mn (can be performed several times a day).
- Public: about 200 people per performance.
- Suitable for all kinds of audiences.
- Space requirements: flat stable ground of 8 m x 8 m minimum, with a tree whose circumference should be between 90 cm and 120 cm, and whose first branches should be at 3.5 m height minimum from the ground.
- Touring team: 3 people (from Paris, FR).
