LUNA COLLECTIF
Eclipse
+ The girls from the Moon

24-25 JULY 2010 : CHALON SUR SAÔNE, France - Chalon dans la rue

Luna Collectif, founded in 2000 by Carine Villalonga and Emilie Brodequin, gathers independant and nomad artists who all come from circus and street arts. Basically feminine entity, Luna Collectif creates celestial shows mixing aerial circus techniques with music and dance.
Now based in an old mille in Castries, near Montpellier, France, after 7 years on the roads, they are in the process of creating their first big aerial theatre show...

Luna Collectif - Eclipse

Eclipse

Eclipse is a feminine, cheeky and uncompromising vision of today's society. During a night of eclipse, the portraits of 4 modern women are used to bring a lucid look at at human relationships, globalization of minds and bodies, fears and hopes of a generation who grew up after the big utopias.

The look is feminine, but never sentimental. It sails between amazement, flashes of rage, despair, and then light again... in a sort of musical circus, or a modern "revue"...

Everything happens inside, on top and around an original structure, a rotating kiosk, which allows to hide and show all sides of that delicate and yet furious universe. In that kiosk, 4 women artists into window displays, like an erotic carrousel.

These women are enclosed between the desire to make commitments, to give themselves away body and soul in one hand, but on the other hand, the urge to protect their freedom and independence. They express that celestial tempest inside of them through aerial techniques, songs and theatre. Through that game, they try to build a new lexicon for love for next generations, confront themselves to the outside world in a quest for aerial love.

The show has been presented for the first time in La Seyne sur Mer, France in June 2008, during festival "Les Journees particulieres".
